Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a terrestrial scanner and a SLAM scanner?
The terrestrial scanner works from fixed positions and offers the highest detail. The SLAM scanner is handheld while walking: it is faster indoors and in tunnels, with lower precision.
What equipment do you use for tailings bathymetry?
Unmanned surface vessels from the CHCNAV Apache and South Poseidon series, with GNSS positioning. The crew operates from the shore.
